Summary

Captique is a privacy-first, on-device screenshot organizer. It reads your screenshots, recognizes their text, and organizes them into notes entirely on your device. Your screenshots and the text recognized from them never leave your device and are never sent to us or any third party. The free version shows ads; the advertising system does not access your screenshots or their text (see Advertising below).

Information the app accesses

Screenshots (photos/media): With your permission, Captique reads images in your device's Screenshots folder to organize them. It does not browse your entire photo library beyond what is needed to find screenshots.
Text recognized from your screenshots (OCR): Generated and stored on your device to build searchable notes.

How the app uses this information

To detect new screenshots, recognize their text on-device, categorize them, and create notes you can search and manage.
All of the above happens locally on your device. There is no server-side processing of your screenshots or their text.

Information we do NOT collect or transmit

We do not upload, transmit, sell, or share your screenshots or their text — ever. These stay on your device.
We (Captique) do not run our own analytics server and do not receive your screenshots, notes, or recognized text.
